a shove from someone in the grocery isle because your “kid cart” doesn’t fit around them.
some idiot doesn’t hold the door for you (seeing you coming a mile away with a kid in one hand, another kid on the hip, and 5 bags in your hands, yeah thanks buddy)
a little smirk on a persons face, because they think you are nuts shopping in Forever 21- because your with a screaming child, and your “mom body” shouldn’t wear those clothes anymore.
These are types of things that moms face everyday, and yes unfortunately, some people just don’t think moms are worth a second look.
Our child is screaming bloody murder.
Our eye makeup is running( if we actually have some on)
We had these yoga pants on yesterday, and probably the day before.
We look like we are going to have a psychotic break at any given moment.
Yes, these things happen daily I am sure to more moms than not. And guess what? I may not be perfect today, but, I am doing my best.
Moms are not only judged by the outside world, but we judge ourselves internally just as hard everyday.
What is our worth?
Am I living up to the “standards” of motherhood?
We tend to sometimes focus on what we are doing wrong, and not what we are doing right.
If haven’t seen this video already done by the HuffPost , please grab some tissues and watch how moms view themselves. Then- watch the remarkable side of what their children think of them.
Please share this with all moms you know.
