A few months back, my dear friend, who just happens to be a fabulous business coach, and I were chatting at a little happy hour we threw for ourselves. I asked her how she does it all. I said to her you are so busy- how do you handle all these clients, live a life, and not look crazy at the same time?
She looked at me and said – “Nicole, I am not busy- I am blessed”.
I thought to myself for a moment she is absolutely right. That’s how she keeps it together. She reminds herself everyday instead of going crazy with a busy schedule, that she is blessed to have an abundance of clients, networking groups, etc to keep her on her toes.
I started to take that advice. And noticed a change. A change in not only my attitude, but the way I handle my life.
Crazy- has been my life to say the least for the past few months. Growing a business, planning a conference, running a blog, and the most important thing, being a mom, have driven me to drink wine heavily on a few occasional nights. (who’s with me on that?)
Life is moving at such a lighting fast pace anymore that sometimes we forget to remember why we are “busy”. We are the lucky ones to have such an abundant life, and have things and people around us to keep from being lonely.
We sometimes forget that having things to do, keeps our minds fresh, and makes us more productive people in this world.
We want to raise our children to show them how to work hard, be kind to one another, and be the role models they need, so we can allow them to be who they want to be in this life. My hope is for my daughter to live the most authentic life she can and the only way to teach her that is to live it yourself.
Living an authentic life means you have self- awareness of who you are, and you are real and transparent with those around you.
I am learning how to teach myself to live this life everyday. Authentic people accept what their strengths and weaknesses are. They are accountable, and show up to life with the best intentions. Most importantly, remember those blessings we were talking about- accepting them, and all the things that come with it. Sometimes, the good, the bad and the ugly.
When you look back at things in your life, you try and understand why they happened.
Were they blessings in disguise?
Was I really living an authentic life that enabled me to see what those blessing were?
When you start to see clearer, and try to become the person you really want to be, blessing come so more abundantly than you could ever imagine. It’s because you are seeing them now as what they are, and not worrying about the hustle and bustle of life.
I hope you are seeing in your life what those blessings are, and really understanding, enjoying, and working on them whenever they come to you!
Go enjoy your life today my friends-
