Can you believe Labor day has come and gone already? I feel like it was turning warm and the days were getting longer last week!
The summer is over. Back to school, back to the faster pace of life, and of course our move is in 12 days! So much is happening, but I thought I would share just a few sweet moments that made this summer special.
We didn’t really go on a vacation this summer, too much going on. But we had some really special days that helped create memories, that’s what it is all about right? Beach vacations are great, but you don’t have to go to the beach to make memories.
We had many firsts happen this summer with Giuliana. She had her first ice cream cone, rode her first kiddie ride, and even stayed in a hotel for the first time and many more!
The beginning of our summer kicked off with a weekend trip to Columbus. We had a great opportunity to be a part of a Pittsburgh bloggers weekend through Experience Columbus. They sponsored the trip for us, and gave us a chance to see all the fun sites that Columbus, Ohio has to offer. Thinking about taking a trip, read all about ours starting with our first night!
She loved the Columbus Zoo.
The hotel was definitely an experience to remember.
COSI was definitely our favorite.
We bought a water-table- best invention ever!
Cupcakes and Ice Cream became her favorite treat of choice.
We painted our toes for the first time.
We shared some really fun times with friends. My Birthday week- as I like to call it, was fabulous. It was spent with great friends and family. We had a great date night, just Dave and I, then a surprise dinner with friends, and on my actual birthday, a night at the winery with two of my lifelong best friends.
We also got to spend the day celebrating the Gender Reveal of a great friends baby!
and we ate lots of watermelon with our new girlfriend.
The 4th of July was really special this year, we got to spend it with my childhood girlfriends families.
Then, after that, the summer got crazy. We got an offer on the house and we have been crazy ever since. We did take sometime to go to our local kids park, Idlewild for the day with my family.
We loved Storybook Forest.
Here are some really fun highlights from that day! Catch Giuliana riding her first ride!
Overall, I think we had an awesome summer!
What is your favorite memory from this summer!
Happy Fall friends! Bring on sweaters, football, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes!
