Disclosure: As LeapFrog Mom Ambassador, I receive products, promotional items and educational material to use and share as I see fit. However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.
Over the next few months, I am joining up with some amazing mamas across the country to be a part of the LeapFrog Mom Squad!
I have received our first package of toys, and let me tell you the excitement could not be contained in our house!
First item in the box that Giuliana loves was the Word Whammer. What’s the Word Whammer you ask?
The Word Whammer is first and foremost the absolute definition of fun for a toddler in my opinion.
She can’t necessarily understand how to play everything, but truth is, it is still teaching her many things.
If you notice in the video, she can still see what matches, and more importantly she is getting better with her hand eye coordination!
There are 3 characters used in the Word Whammer, the Penguin, the dragon and panda. (Of course, she loves the penguin)
There are 5 learning levels, that adapt to your child’s learning levels.
It is meant to help prepare them for Kindergarten, but like I mentioned before, 3 year olds can learn a lot as well.
It helps them sound out the letters, and the matching part of the games, allows them to hear and see what letters are what.
When you twist and thrust the handle, you can build and spell more than 100 words!
The Whammer truly is such a fun learning experience for all ages in my opinion.
The next fun item in our box of amazingness was the LeapPad Platinum.
The LeapPad Platinum is the next generation of learning from LeapFrog. Our house is pretty pumped because this is Giuliana’s first tablet, that is ALL hers!
Platinum is geared for children ages 3-9 years of age.
Here is some of the general specs first: ( this infographic is from the LeapFrog website, comparing the 3 tablets that they have)
I used this graphic for a reason. We have all three of these products, and truly this newest LeapPad is the best of them all.
The one thing that she loves is the drawing pencil that hooked to tablet. She loves using it to tap instead of using her fingers, which again, is helping so much with hand eye coordination.
And, the thing we love most, is the kid-safe web browser! With other products we have a hard time keeping where she is “supposed” to be on the web, and with this, I have no worries. No accidental buying happening here!
She loves taking pictures with our phones, and with the LeapFrog Platinum, she can do it all by herself!
This tablet is built to last. My kiddo, like most toddlers, has a “dropsy” problem as I like to call it. The Platinum is LeapFrog’s most durable LeapPad with a shatter-safe screen and a wrap around bumper. Again, the cost of having to buy another one because of it falling, getting stomped on, etc.. is not a worry!
And, the most amazing thing about the LeapFrog Platinum, is the Imagicards. What are Imagicards you ask?
Imagicards are the first of it’s kind that provides not only a digital learning experience for kids, but also a physical one.
These cards come to life on screen with the snap of a picture! Children use the camera to capture photos of the cards, and bring their favorite character into the game and bring it to life!
Paw Patrol Save Adventure Bay is Giuliana’s favorite – but they have so many! Paw Patrol features 6 playable pups that are trying to earn good citizens badges. Kids can also test their PAW knowledge by capturing cards to answer 50+trivia questions and take “selfies” with their favorite pups!
I highly recommend both products, especially since the holiday season will be fast approaching!
Let us know if you buy one! Can’t wait to hear what you think!
